Eight People Die in Fire at Residential Building in Yekaterinburg
A fire broke out in a residential building in Yekaterinburg, Russia, resulting in the deaths of eight people, according to preliminary reports by TASS.
It is reported that rescuers evacuated 90 people from the building, including nine children.
Residents who were evacuated reported that they suddenly woke up to thick smoke, with the fire having started in an apartment on the second floor covering approximately 30 square meters.
No information has yet been released regarding possible causes of the fire.
