Details on the Meeting Between Edmon Marukyan and Nikol Pashinyan
Details have emerged regarding the meeting between Edmon Marukyan and Nikol Pashinyan that took place yesterday. The meeting lasted for 20 minutes, during which Pashinyan proposed signing a memorandum stating that if he resigns, the parliament would not nominate another candidate. Marukyan rejected the proposal to sign the memorandum.
Pashinyan responded that in such a case, they would proceed with the path of self-dissolution of the parliament. Marukyan countered that the number of representatives from the ruling party is insufficient for self-dissolution. In response, Pashinyan stated that Sergey Bagratyan, who left the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), and independent MP Arman Babajanyan will implement what he suggested, and efforts would be made with others as well.
Marukyan demanded that Pashinyan resign unconditionally, after which they would only agree to hold snap elections.
