Russian Peacekeepers Conduct Combat Readiness Exercises with Military Equipment
Russian peacekeeping units in Nagorno-Karabakh have conducted scheduled combat readiness exercises in the military training grounds of Stepanakert and Martakert, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense's website.
During the exercises, soldiers fired automated weapons, machine guns, sniper rifles, and anti-tank grenade launchers from BTR-82A armored vehicles. Despite the round-the-clock duty being carried out, the command of the peacekeeping forces planned testing of the main types of combat readiness, including tactical, special-tactical, firing types, and the use of military equipment.
About 200 Russian peacekeepers participated in the exercises, which utilized more than 20 units of military and special equipment. The Russian peacekeepers conduct around-the-clock monitoring of the situation and exercise control over the maintenance of the ceasefire regime at 23 observation posts, ensuring the safe return of civilians to their places of residence, providing humanitarian assistance, and restoring civilian infrastructure.
