Roads Blocked and Impassable Across Armenia
The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that there are blocked and impassable roads in the territory of Armenia.
The roads leading to Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake in the Aragatsotn Province are closed. The Vardenyats Pass is difficult to navigate for trucks with trailers.
In Shirak Province, the Artik-Alagyaz road is affected, as well as roads in the Aragatsotn region of Aparan and Aragats, and in Gegharkunik, Kotayk, and Syunik Provinces where there is black ice in places.
Information from the Emergency Situations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia's North Ossetia indicates that the Stepantsminda-Larsi road is open for all types of vehicles.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, the decision to prohibit foreigners from entering Georgia remains in effect. The ban does not apply to freight transport.
Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
