Black Ice Patches on Roads in Gegharkunik, Kotayk, and Syunik Provinces: Ministry of Emergency Situations
The Ministry of Emergency Situations has reported that there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads in the Republic of Armenia.
The roads leading to the Amberd Fortress and Kary Lake in the Aragatsotn Province are closed.
The Vardenyats Pass is difficult to navigate for heavy vehicles with trailers.
There are patches of black ice on the roads in the Shirak Province, particularly on the Artik-Alagyaz road, as well as in the Aparan and Aragats regions of Aragatsotn Province, and throughout Gegharkunik, Kotayk, and Syunik provinces.
According to information from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations’ North Ossetian crisis management center, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
As per the information received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, the ban on the entry of foreign nationals into Georgia remains in effect. However, this restriction does not apply to freight transport.
Drivers are advised to use winter tires exclusively while traveling.
