Martuni Man Goes Astray, Crosses Border: Details
A resident of Martuni city in Artsakh, 58-year-old Ararat Khachatryan went astray on December 3 and crossed the border, where he was killed by Azerbaijanis. This information was confirmed by the Martuni municipality, which reported that his body was retrieved with the assistance of the Red Cross and that he was buried two days ago.
One of Ararat Khachatryan's friends told NEWS.am that due to adverse weather conditions and being near the border, the man got lost and found himself in an area controlled by Azerbaijanis. His body was retrieved several days later, and there were signs of violence on the body, suggesting he was killed after being beaten.
The man from Martuni had two sons and one daughter and had participated in the war.
