Russian Peacekeepers Help Find and Return Missing Artsakh Residents
Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh assisted in locating and returning two residents of the unrecognized Republic of Artsakh who had found themselves in areas under Azerbaijani control.
According to the press center of the peacekeeping contingent, on November 30, they received information about the disappearance of two residents from the village of Khamarot in the Askeran region, Ademik Hambardzumyan and Ramid Khachatryan.
Through the request of the Russian side, it was determined that Azerbaijani Armed Forces had captured the individuals in areas controlled by Baku.
The commander of the Russian contingent, Rustam Muradov, conducted negotiations with the Azerbaijani side, resulting in the successful release of the citizens.
Today, Ademik Hambardzumyan and Ramid Khachatryan were transported to Yerevan by a Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft and handed over to the Armenian border guard service.
