France Calls on EU to Take Action Against Turkey at Summit
France's Delegate Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Franck Riester, speaking in the National Assembly (the lower house of Parliament), stated that France deems it necessary for the EU to take measures against Turkey. This was reported by Ermenihaber.am.
Riester noted that all of Europe currently condemns the behavior of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. "A European response to his actions must be given at the upcoming European Council summit," he said, adding that decisions should be made to strengthen the balance of power in order to protect the EU's interests and values.
Turkish media outlets have deemed Riester's statements scandalous.
