Armenians Launch New Campaign Urging SpaceX to Cancel Deal with Turkey: TechCrunch
The renowned tech publication TechCrunch has reported on an electronic mail campaign directed at SpaceX by Armenians from around the globe. SpaceX employees' inboxes have been flooded with messages urging the company to cancel its deal with the Turkish government, thereby not aiding Erdogan's regime.
According to a report by Armenpress, TechCrunch notes that the concerns raised are justified, and the method of mass emailing has proven remarkably effective. The senders of the messages have stated that they are representatives of the global Armenian community or stand in solidarity with Armenians affected by Turkish President Erdogan's authoritarian governance and influence in the region.
SpaceX is set to launch the Turkish Turksat-5A satellite in the coming month or two, which will operate over Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. It has been pointed out that many countries and governments have condemned Turkey's behavior, and some companies have halted their dealings with the government. TechCrunch poses the question: Will SpaceX join them?
The Armenian campaign has garnered the attention of reputable media outlets and news aggregators.
