Lavrov and Cavusoglu Discuss the Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict
The Foreign Ministers of Russia and Turkey, Sergey Lavrov and Mevlut Cavusoglu, have held a telephone conversation. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
A wide range of issues was discussed, including the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. The need to ensure a stable ceasefire between Armenia and Azerbaijan was emphasized.
The foreign ministers highlighted the absence of an alternative to the peaceful resolution of the issue, the urgent need for the maintenance of the ceasefire regime, and the resumption of the negotiation process within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group mechanisms.
Particular attention was given to the inadmissibility of internationalizing the crisis, including the involvement of foreign mercenaries.
