All Citizens Sent for Mobilization Military Service Will Be Paid by the Ministry of Defense
Citizens who have departed for mobilization military service and those participating voluntarily in the defense of the homeland will have their jobs preserved, and that period will be counted as work experience, as reported by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
"In addition to the remuneration provided by the state budget (by the Ministry of Defense), citizens can also be compensated by their employers by mutual agreement. During the period of defending the homeland, citizens will accumulate annual vacation days. The guarantees mentioned above are valid from the day martial law was declared in the Republic of Armenia.
All citizens who have departed for mobilization military service will be compensated by the Ministry of Defense for the corresponding period of service, regardless of their employment status. The amount of remuneration is calculated in accordance with Appendix 3 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia on Remuneration of Persons Holding State Positions.
A number of changes have also taken place for employers due to the state of war. Accordingly, changes in the workplace by the employer do not constitute a significant change in the terms of employment for the employee; in case of a workplace change, the employer may not notify the employee in advance; the consent of the employee is not required when recalling an employee from annual leave; and no additional payment is made to employees for work performed during overtime, nighttime, and non-scheduled rest days as well as public holidays and commemorative days," the message states.
