Attempts to Launch Attacks Around Various Roads, Rivers, and Junctions - MoD Representative

The representative of the Ministry of Defense, Artsrun Hovhannisyan, presented the operational and tactical situation at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border at the Unified Information Center in Armenia today.

“This morning, the Azerbaijani armed forces continued their offensive operations in various directions. Throughout the day, different towns have been shelled, including the town of Martakert with various settlements and the town of Berdzor with nearby villages. Three shells have fallen in the Berdzor region,” noted Hovhannisyan.

During the day, particularly fierce fighting occurred in the villages of Shekher, Jivanik, and neighboring villages where Azerbaijani sabotage groups and diversionary units had attempted incursions. “Specifically, Shekher and its adjacent forests have almost been completely cleared, while operations continue in the forests adjacent to some villages,” Hovhannisyan stated.

At the same time, enemy forces attempted to attack towards Vorotan in the southern direction, with several assault attempts repelled, resulting in significant losses for them. Some units have disbanded, losing their armored vehicles, and retreated, hiding in ravines and forests.

“South of Berdzor, specifically the direction towards the Hakari River, has been pushed much further south under the impact of our armed forces’ assaults. Overall, the tension remains high. Generally, fighting is ongoing in clusters. There are currently no clear front lines in this direction. Attempts to launch attacks around various roads, rivers, and junctions are being neutralized by our Armed Forces. This is the real situation. Our successes are steadfast. The war is tense and heavy, with situations often appearing insurmountable based on small local information to some, but that is not the case. Our Armed Forces fully control the situation and deliver devastating strikes to the adversary in various directions and sections, despite the adversary making advances in certain areas,” concluded Artsrun Hovhannisyan, noting that fighting continues both day and night.
