Putin and Macron Discuss the Situation in Nagorno-Karabakh
A phone conversation took place at the initiative of the French side between the presidents of Russia and France, Vladimir Putin and Emmanuel Macron, as reported by the official Kremlin website.
The two leaders discussed in detail the situation in the conflict zone of Nagorno-Karabakh. Vladimir Putin informed about the measures being taken to prevent further escalation of military actions and aimed at the prompt resumption of negotiations for the political and diplomatic resolution of the Karabakh issue.
Emphasis was placed on the importance of maintaining the ceasefire agreements reached between the conflicting parties on October 10 and 17.
The readiness to continue close coordination as co-chairing countries of the OSCE Minsk Group, as well as regarding the UN Security Council, was highlighted.
