Fifth Generation Warfare is Ongoing with High-Tech Means: Artur Hovhannisyan
It should be noted that Azerbaijan has once again violated the ceasefire agreement, which was proposed this time by the French side. This was stated by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, Artur Hovhannisyan, during a briefing.
Hovhannisyan mentioned that combat operations continued in the same directions from early morning. Initially, there was another attempt of attack on the northern side, which was repelled with significant losses and without achieving any substantial success.
According to him, at the same time, in the southern direction, two separate sections attempted to conduct offensive operations. “In one direction, clearly falling under the heavy fire of the Armenian armed forces' artillery, they fled, suffering significant losses in equipment and a large amount of ammunition. In another direction, they continued offensive battles and have made certain movements as a result of fierce fighting,” Hovhannisyan said.
The spokesperson reiterated that the ongoing military operations are extremely intense, with a high concentration of firepower. Therefore, capturing successes based on specific positions or terrain descriptions represented by either fabricated or real benchmarks is not relevant in this war. “We are witnessing fifth generation warfare utilizing high-tech means, maneuvering groups, and there are no separate military operations conducted to defend static positions. For this reason, we will not be mentioning specific positions, successes, or retreats,” Hovhannisyan stated.
He also reported that throughout the day, Azerbaijan once again utilized various means of aerial attacks, including UAVs. He informed that by 20:30 today, 9 UAVs had been downed, two of which were on the territory of the Republic of Armenia. Hovhannisyan mentioned that combat operations are still ongoing, and the southern direction remains hot.
