100 Million Drams from Yerevan for the Reconstruction of Stepanakert
Today, the Yerevan City Council held an extraordinary meeting. Mayor Hayk Marutyan opened the session with a moment of silence.
“Let no one doubt that we will win and restore the infrastructure of all our cities and villages damaged by the enemy. For that, intensive work is needed,” stated Mayor Hayk Marutyan in his opening remarks, urging the council to get to work without delay.
He informed that the agenda of today’s meeting includes assistance from Yerevan to Stepanakert, which had been discussed in advance with all factions of the council and received unanimous verbal approval.
A proposal regarding the allocation of 100 million drams from Yerevan’s 2020 budget reserve fund for the reconstruction of the capital of the Republic of Artsakh, Stepanakert, was put forward for discussion.
All 46 registered members of the Yerevan City Council voted unanimously in favor of the proposal.
