Syria Warns of Turkey's Open Involvement in the Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict
Syria expresses regret over the clashes between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The country's authorities are calling on neighboring countries to cease military operations and to find a peaceful resolution to the underlying issue, according to the Sana news agency.
“The Syrian Arab Republic expresses deep regret over the clashes between Armenia and Azerbaijan, which have resulted in casualties on both sides. The Syrian authorities extend their condolences to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to the injured,” stated an official announcement from the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The official Damascus statement also warns of Turkey's open involvement in this conflict, aiming to further inflame the situation, which is characteristic of Turkey's regime behavior in instigating unrest and creating tensions in various parts of the world.
Syria urges Azerbaijani authorities not to fall into Turkey's trap and to respond calmly to Armenia's initiative and calls for resolving disputes through peaceful dialogue.
