Erdogan Accuses Armenia: Why is Official Yerevan's Response Delayed? MFA Provides Details
Recently, the question has been widely discussed as to why official Yerevan has not responded to Turkish President Erdogan's statements that Armenia is the main obstacle to long-term peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
Auroranews inquired with the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Anna Naghdalyan, regarding whether we can expect an official response. She stated, “I will not comment, but I can say that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is scheduled to speak at the same platform on Friday.” Our interlocutor most likely refers to the fact that the Prime Minister will address the false statements made by the Turkish president from that very platform.
It is noteworthy that Erdogan, while distorting the facts during the 75th session of the UN General Assembly, claimed that Armenia, which attacked Azerbaijani territory in July, has once again proven to be the greatest obstacle to stable peace and security in the South Caucasus.
