«Hraparak». Khachaturov Will Be the ‘Hero’ of the Criminal Case Related to the April War
The Parliamentary investigative committee examining the circumstances of the April War will soon publish the results of its one-year activity or the conclusions of its studies. According to members of the committee from the ruling party, a criminal case may be initiated afterwards.
Our sources indicate that most likely, the key ‘hero’ of the criminal case will be Yuri Khachaturov, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia during the 2016 war.
The committee has discovered that there is no written document, protocol, or any paperwork confirming the agreements Khachaturov made during his trip to Moscow regarding the ceasefire during the four-day war. Furthermore, even after returning to Armenia, it is assumed that he was supposed to report to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief detailing the conditions under which the ceasefire was reached, yet there is no official record of such a report in any archive.
This raises the question: what was the agreement about and with whom did Khachaturov negotiate? This will be the committee's main ‘conclusion-revelation’.
