Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense Predictable Staging: What the Photos Revealed
On August 23, an Armenian Armed Forces officer, Gurgen Alaverdyan, got disoriented and lost due to extremely unfavorable weather conditions, subsequently ending up on the Azerbaijani side. Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense is attempting to present him as a saboteur. This was reported by Razm.info.
It was predictable that the Azerbaijani side would once again try to create a base of evidence for its claims through staging. Already on the evening of August 24, Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense published a photo of our officer along with what it claimed to be images of his belongings, which included special black gear (разгрузка), an AK-103 assault rifle, ammunition, a grenade, and communication equipment.
Furthermore, on the very first day, August 23, when Alaverdyan ended up on the Azerbaijani side, unofficial sources shared a video on social media showing Alaverdyan without that gear. Additionally, the Azerbaijani side stated in its announcement that the 'sabotage attempt' had taken place towards Goranboy.
In finding items for this staging, the Azerbaijani side did not 'go very far'; a mountain training center for Azerbaijani military scout troops is located relatively close to the front line in Goranboy, where service members wear black gear during their training.
Interestingly, the same center's servicemen are also armed with AK-103 model assault rifles.
