196 New COVID-19 Cases Confirmed in Armenia in One Day, 6 People Died
As of August 15, Armenia has reported 196 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of infected individuals to 41,495. According to the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of Armenia's Ministry of Health, three citizens died as a result of the virus in the last 24 hours, increasing the death toll to 817.
In addition, there were three recorded deaths of patients infected with coronavirus who died from other illnesses during the same period. The total number of such cases as of August 15 is 242.
In total, 6 people died in one day, raising the overall death toll to 1,059. Additionally, the number of recoveries in one day was 360, with the total number of recoveries reaching 34,484. The number of patients currently under treatment is 5,952, which is a decrease of 130 from the previous day.
In the last 24 hours, 1,827 tests were conducted, bringing the total number of tests performed to date to 183,789. Regarding the deaths, the patients were aged 86 (female), 68 (male), and 70 (male), all of whom had underlying chronic illnesses. The day before, three deaths were recorded where patients tested positive for coronavirus, but the cause of death was due to other illnesses. The total number of such cases remains 242.
