In Which Areas Wearing Masks Is Not Mandatory: The Chief of Police Sets the List
Wearing masks in personal vehicles is no longer mandatory. This was stated in a message circulated by the Unified Information Platform.
The message reads: “From now on, wearing a mask is not mandatory in personal vehicles, in outdoor recreational areas beyond rural and urban residential areas, in recreational zones and beaches, in mountains, forests, and similar outdoor spaces. However, this does not apply to visits to historical and cultural sites, pilgrimage visits, organized individual and group excursions, hiking tours, trips, and participation in other activities of that nature.”
In an interview with Auroranews, the spokesperson for the Police Headquarters, Mane Gevorgyan, noted that family members can go without masks in their own vehicle. She mentioned that police can verify and understand through identification checks whether those in the vehicle are indeed family members or not.
