Government to Support Organizations in Winemaking and Brandy Production
The government today approved the 24th measure for mitigating the economic consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.
"This measure relates to grape procurement and aims to address the issues faced by organizations operating in our winemaking and brandy production sectors. Both the domestic market and major export markets have been directly affected by the spread of the coronavirus, significantly impacting the operational outcomes of organizations in the brandy and winemaking industry. Demand for products has decreased, which has also affected sales volumes," said Khachatryan.
He noted that the measures include the provision of subsidized loans to procuring organizations engaged in brandy and wine production during the procurement period.
