Human Rights Defender's Order: Rapid Response Team Now at Vayk Police Department
Under the directive of the Human Rights Defender, a rapid response team is now stationed at the Vayk Police Department. This was announced by the Office of the Human Rights Defender of Armenia.
During the visit, the team will examine the grounds for the detention of individuals protesting against the exploitation of the Amulsar mine, assess the conditions for safeguarding the rights of those detained, and address other relevant issues.
The events surrounding the exploitation of the Amulsar mine are currently under the attention of the Human Rights Defender, as they fall within the scope of the Defender’s authority.
