Metal Pipe Blows to Factory Guard's Head: Murder in Lori Province

The Lori Province Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee is conducting an investigation to clarify the circumstances of a murder that occurred in the village of Darpas.

According to preliminary data, on August 3, 2020, between 6:30 PM and 8:40 PM, an individual suspected of committing the crime allegedly attacked a resident working as a guard in a production facility located in the village of Darpas, Lori Province, striking him on the head with a metal pipe with the intent to unlawfully deprive him of life, causing injuries incompatible with life.

Following the incident, a criminal case was initiated in the Lori Province Investigative Department under Article 104 (Part 1) of the RA Criminal Code (murder), and the investigation has been assigned to an investigative group.

A number of investigative and procedural actions have been undertaken in the criminal case, including site inspections, seizures, and the appointment of forensic examinations.

The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
