Prime Minister's Spokesperson Mane Gevorgyan Clarifies Whether Vardavar Will Be Celebrated This Year
This year, Vardavar will be celebrated on July 19. Since the festival is typically marked with great pomp in Armenia, and given that a state of emergency has been declared in the country due to the coronavirus, we tried to find out whether any decisions have been made regarding Vardavar, but we were unable to reach the spokesperson for Deputy Prime Minister and Chief of the Emergency Situations, Tigran Avinyan, Vahan Hunanian.
“There is no decision yet. Vardavar is on July 19, and there will definitely be a decision before that. We will announce it,” Mane Gevorgyan, the Prime Minister's Press Secretary, said in a conversation with ArmDaily.am.
She also mentioned that the decision regarding this issue might come at the beginning of the week, on Monday or Tuesday.
