What Does It Mean to ‘Prepare the Peoples for Peace’ – Arman Abovyan to Authorities
Arman Abovyan, the secretary of the Bright Armenia parliamentary group, writes on his Facebook page: In Armenia, for a long time (for more than ten years now), there has been a small but highly influential ‘pseudo-Armenian club’ of so-called ‘pro-Azerbaijani Turks’ that regularly tries to introduce certain ideas related to our relations with Turkey and Azerbaijan into the Armenian information space.
It should be emphasized that these anti-Armenian and anti-state ideas are being pushed under the guise of ‘solidarity’ and ‘progressive’ philosophies by organizations or individuals receiving funding from afar.
They are trying to convince us from below that it is not the Turkish or Azerbaijani peoples who are responsible for their states' anti-Armenian policies, but the ‘evil’ leaders of those states, forgetting that all massacres, from the Abdul Hamid massacres to the 1915 Genocide and the massacres in Baku, Sumgait, and Amaras, were committed by these ‘innocent’ ordinary Turks and Azerbaijanis.
This reflects a very experienced and effective tactic carried out by them in Armenia, paired with constant financing of various suspicious programs which claim to aim for ‘solidarity,’ such as the so-called ‘Tekali Process’ or the ‘alternative’ studies of the causes and consequences of the Armenian Genocide (I will have a chance to discuss this in more detail separately).
There are many examples.
Why am I writing this, you may ask? Allow me to answer: until now, no one from the authorities has been able to clearly explain to me what the vision of the Armenian side is regarding the thesis ‘to prepare the peoples for peace’ and the obligations we have undertaken around this thesis. Considering the expected activity of the ‘pro-Azerbaijani Turks’ club, I am very interested in the vision of public officials regarding the aforementioned questions.
I do not consider this a conspiracy theory; however, these questions demand urgent, very clear, and precise answers from the authorities. P.S. And when all those who try to convince you that ‘the Turk and the Azerbaijani’ are peoples like us and want ‘peace,’ simply pay attention to the map presented below and understand one thing: for a Turk and an Azerbaijani, peace means the annihilation of you and your children and the occupation of our Homeland. Nothing more...
