Vladimir Gasparyan Gives Detailed Testimony, Defense Says
The former Chief of Police of Armenia, Vladimir Gasparyan, faces baseless and absurd charges, to which he approaches philosophically, according to his lawyer Tigran Atanesyan in an interview with NEWS.am.
"Charges have been brought for something that should be rewarded. These are matters that have no relation to law. Vladimir Gasparyan has not wasted property in large amounts. That property exists, and everything has been done openly. Vladimir Gasparyan approaches these accusations philosophically," said the defense attorney.
Atanesyan stated that a lengthy investigation has taken place, and there is no evidence at the core of the case; however, there are facts that the defense does not even deny. "They understand the waste differently, and they present it in their own way," he added.
Tigran Atanesyan revealed that Vladimir Gasparyan has given testimony as a witness. "He has provided detailed testimony, but he has not yet given testimony in the capacity of the accused."
