The 12 Lies of Gakharia: Georgian Prime Minister's Speech Accompanied by Opposition Protest
During the annual government report of Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia in the Georgian parliament, activists of the "Change" movement held a protest outside the parliamentary building under the slogan "The 12 Lies of Gakharia." Several dozen young people carried placards disputing Gakharia's claims, which they consider false. This information was reported by "Aliq Media."
"After the infamous ‘Gavrilov Night’, Interior Minister Gakharia lied 12 times in a row on live television within a few days. That is why today the 'Change' movement is presenting an alternative report highlighting Gakharia's 12 lies," stated the activists.
The claims cited by the protesters were related to the events of June 20-21, 2019, when anti-Russian sentiments erupted into protests and clashes between police and demonstrators, followed by the use of special equipment to disperse the rally.
The demonstrators displayed placards stating, "The participants of the action were warned 4 times," "No fire was targeted at the protesters," "Gakharia was ready for negotiations," and "It was impossible to deny entry to Georgia," among others.
