No Currently Infected Healthcare Workers at Hospital No. 1, Says Shushan Danielyan

Shushan Danielyan, the head of Yerevan State Medical University, wrote on her Facebook page: “Dear colleagues... Please help me to prevent panic, there are currently no infected healthcare workers at Hospital No. 1.

Regarding the confirmed cases among employees of the First University Hospital during these past three months, we have a total of 90 confirmed cases: 78 healthcare workers, 5 administrative staff, and 7 clinical residents. At present, 81 out of the 90 infected individuals have recovered and are returning to their duties, while 9 employees are still in the recovery phase.

Incidentally, I would like to mention that thanks to our skilled epidemiologists, most cases have been identified as a result of epidemiological measures. Yes, the director of University Hospital No. 1 has tested positive for coronavirus; our director is currently isolated and, at this moment, there are no complications—she is asymptomatic.
