My salary is slightly over 2 million drams. Director of "Gazprom Armenia" on layoffs

The majority of employees at "Gazprom Armenia" receive a salary of at most 2 million drams, while 0.1% of the staff, which amounts to 10 individuals including the company’s executive director, earn slightly more than 2 million drams. This was stated by Hrant Tadevosyan, the director of "Gazprom Armenia," during a discussion at the Public Services Regulatory Commission.

“I do not receive 20 million drams as some claim, but much less,” he said. He added that the salaries at "Gazprom Armenia" and other energy sector institutions (nuclear power plant, hydropower plants) are not comparable due to the differences in workload.

According to the company’s director, approximately 1,000 employees will be laid off at "Gazprom Armenia" in the near future, including all staff and drivers. “I have proposed to cut my salary. In addition, I am planning to reduce the salaries of the management team, which consists of 10 individuals,” Tadevosyan stated.
