90 Infected Employees at Number 1 Hospital, Coronavirus Confirmed in Director

ArmDaily.am has received information that coronavirus has also been confirmed in the director of Number 1 Hospital, Aren Babliumyan, whose condition is reported to be serious. We attempted to verify the information with the head of the Yerevan State Medical University administration, Shushan Danielyan.

"Your information is accurate, but I do not find it ethically appropriate to publicize personal health information about an individual. I would also advise you to exercise caution in that regard. As for the health condition of the doctor, if that concerns you, I can say that currently the hospital director is in isolation, has no complaints, and we hope that the course of the disease will remain asymptomatic," she stated.

We have learned that there are dozens of infected staff among employees at the Number 1 University Hospital. Shushan Danielyan noted that there are a total of 90 infected staff members at Number 1 University Hospital: 78 healthcare workers, 5 administrative staff, and 7 clinical residents.
