We Must Simply Ban the Activities of Parties That Violate the Free Expression of the People's Will, Says Prime Minister
Yes, the party that systematically violates the free expression of the people's will should simply have its activities banned, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during a Q&A session in Parliament.
“I am proposing an idea to present a draft law. In 2017, I wrote a draft law to change the grounds for suspending a party. I wrote that in cases where it becomes clear that a party has systematically engaged in vote-buying or electoral fraud, that party's activities should be suspended. Unfortunately, my colleagues from the 'Yelk' coalition disagreed with putting that law into circulation. But perhaps we need to think about that,” the Prime Minister stated.
