Inspections in the Erebuni Administrative District

On June 17, specialists from the Transport Safety Department of the RA Ministry of Urban Development, along with employees of the RA Police, conducted joint oversight activities in the Erebuni administrative district targeting transportation vehicles used for passenger transfers in regular routes and taxi services. This information has been provided by the Government of Armenia.

During the observations carried out in the administrative district, both on the previous day and today, cases were recorded in vehicles conducting regular and irregular passenger transport where disinfectant intended for hands was replaced with regular water contained in containers. Drivers without masks were found, as well as vehicles operating with overloads.

In the taxi passenger transport system, instances of transporting a passenger in the front seat were again detected. Based on such gross violations, administrative reports were compiled.

Alongside strict oversight activities, the specialists from the Regulatory Authority engaged in awareness-raising activities among drivers and passengers and provided mandatory instructions for the immediate rectification of deficiencies and for ensuring compliance with the orders of the emergency state of the Republic of Armenia.

It is worth noting that the oversight functions of the Regulatory Authority will be of a daily and ongoing nature.
