Video: Mandatory Identity Document Requirement for All Citizens of Armenia
Yesterday, we mentioned that our biggest issue at this moment is discipline regarding the wearing of masks, and today we have made decisions in relation to this matter. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a press briefing following a meeting of the commandant's office.
“And the decision is as follows: Starting tomorrow, it will be mandatory for all citizens of Armenia to carry an identity document. This refers to a passport, ID card, or driver's license,” said the Prime Minister.
The necessity for this decision was explained by the Prime Minister by stating that in many cases, violations of mask-wearing generate administrative procedures, and the absence of documentation affects the efficiency of this process.
According to him, violations of the rules regarding the carrying of identity documents and wearing masks will be considered as separate offenses, with fines also established separately at 10,000 drams for each case.
The mandatory requirement to wear gloves has been removed, as Pashinyan said, experiences show that certain materials tend to accumulate quickly on them, and it is better to focus on the issue of hand sanitization.
