16-Year-Old Stabs 35-Year-Old Man Intentionally; Criminal Case in Court

The investigation into a criminal case regarding the intentional infliction of serious harm to another's health has concluded at the Tavush Regional Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.

During the investigation, it was revealed that on September 21, 2019, around 14:50, in the park of Alaverdi city, a 16-year-old boy, after receiving a reprimand for his behavior from a 35-year-old local citizen, got into an argument with him. During the dispute, with the intention of causing bodily harm, he stabbed the latter in the abdominal area with a knife, resulting in life-threatening serious injuries.

Based on a combination of gathered evidence, the 16-year-old has been charged under the first part of Article 112 of the Criminal Code of Armenia (intentional infliction of serious harm to health). As a measure of restraint, he has been placed under parental supervision.

The investigation has been completed, and the criminal case, with an accusatory conclusion, has been sent to the prosecutor overseeing the legality of the investigation.
