Changes in Goods Transfer Process Between Iran and Armenia
The State Revenue Committee announces that following the decision No. 39 of the Armenian Prime Minister dated April 15, 2020, changes have been made to the process of transferring all types of goods (export, import, transit) between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Armenia starting from April 15, 2020.
Goods subject to transloading can now be transloaded not only within the territory of the Meghri checkpoint or the temporary storage warehouse of the Agarak terminal but also within the territory of the Norduz transit point of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as at the Norduz terminal of the IIRI.
The SRC reports that the ban on entry for Armenian citizens and freight carriers registered in Armenia to other areas of the Islamic Republic of Iran, apart from the aforementioned territories, is still in effect.
