Gegham Manukyan on the Leak of Pashinyan's Live Broadcast Footage
Armtimes.com reports that, according to well-informed sources, the scandalous leak of technical footage from Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's live broadcast on April 17 was carried out by the "Yerkir Media" television company, which is under the control of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF).
According to news circulating in the media, the director of news programs at "Yerkir Media," Gegham Manukyan, transferred the footage to Harutyun Harutyunyan, the director of the "5th Channel," owned by Robert Kocharian, who organized the leak through one of the fake accounts belonging to Kocharian's supporters.
In a conversation with Auroranews, Gegham Manukyan commented on the media's publication, stating, "I will not give any serious comment; this is sheer nonsense. This is the level of journalism they have dreamt of, where such false information can be spread even once without establishing contact with me, without verifying whether the information corresponds to reality or not. They have worked this way for years and now they lecture everyone on how impartial journalism should be. I think we should look for the element of my public speech and the reaction to my television program beneath all this—nothing else."
Later, Manukyan wrote on his Facebook page, "Today, a foolish so-called news was circulated, which also includes my name. I regret that journalism has reached this level, where they do not even have the decency to call and verify the news's authenticity. I will address this issue and the so-called nonsense of the leak in my evening program 'To Be Honest.'"
