Criminal Case Initiated over Murder in Nor Norq
On April 15, 2020, at 8:30 PM, the "1st Medical University Hospital" received a call reporting that a 38-year-old resident of Yerevan had been transported with a gunshot wound and was dead on arrival.
In connection with the incident, a criminal case has been initiated at the Investigative Division of the Yerevan Investigative Committee under Article 104, Part 1, and Article 235, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. This information was reported by the Public Relations Department of the Investigative Committee.
During the pre-investigation, urgent investigative and other procedural actions have been carried out, including an examination of the body and an investigation at the crime scene. During the investigation, damage was found on the left side of the front window of a parked "Lexus" vehicle, a dented wound on the lower horizontal ledge that frames the left front door window, yellowish metal fragments, and blood-like traces on the road next to the vehicle, along with three spent cartridges.
Multiple examinations have been assigned, including forensic medical, ballistic, trace evidence, chemical, and complex expert examinations. The investigation is ongoing. Measures are being taken to clarify all circumstances of the case and to identify and locate the individuals responsible for the crime.
