Lexus and Opel Collide Head-On in Yerevan, Turning into Metal Scrap
A major car accident occurred in Yerevan today, April 15. At around 15:30, on the Vardashen-Mushavan highway at the beginning of the Mushavan village, a Lexus LT 460 with license plate 07 LT 077 and an Opel Astra with license plate 36 NO 217 collided.
According to reports from Shamshyan.com, as a result of the collision, the Opel veered off the roadway and crashed into a gas pipeline.
Civilians were the first to assist the injured, followed shortly by rescue workers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations who arrived on the scene. Together, they extricated the victims from the vehicles, while a duty group of paramedics from Yerevan's 1-03 emergency service provided assistance on site and transported the injured to the Erebuni Medical Center.
Employees of Gazprom Armenia's Erebuni territorial service are working on restoring the gas pipeline that fell from the poles. Furthermore, Gazprom employees are checking for any gas leaks resulting from the collision.
