Major Car Accident in Yerevan: Ambulance Collides with Ford, Leaving 6 Injured
Today, on April 12th, a major car accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 08:40, at the intersection of Bagratunis and Chekhov streets, a Haise and a Ford vehicle collided. According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, 6 individuals with bodily injuries were transported to the "Erebuni" medical center. Citizens and rescuers were the first to assist the injured.
The ambulance team from Yerevan's 1-03 emergency service, group number 65, acted promptly, providing first aid to the injured on-site before transferring them to the hospital. The photojournalist reported that following the collision, the Haise vehicle struck an iron electrical post, a traffic regulating light, and an advertising panel, damaging them.
G. Shamshyan noted that the Haise vehicle is registered with the Talin hospital and was transporting a patient to the "Erebuni" medical center.
Among the injured are the ambulance driver, a doctor, a patient being transported, another individual, and the driver of the Ford vehicle. Several nearby citizens, who declined to speak on camera, stated that the ambulance had its lights and sirens activated, and the Ford was supposed to yield. The traffic police are currently verifying this information.
