The Incident at the Davitashen Police Department is Related to a Drug Case
The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports: "Yesterday, April 9, information was published regarding the National Security Service officers visiting the Davitashen police department of the Yerevan city police, where investigative actions were conducted for several hours in cooperation with colleagues from the internal security department of the police. As a result, the department head, the deputy head, and the officer of the criminal investigation group were not allowed to leave.
The head of the public relations and media department of the police, Ashot Aharonyan, confirmed the information, stating: 'The NSS and internal security service officers have conducted joint investigative measures at the Davitashen police department in Yerevan. More details will be provided soon.'
According to information received by "Zhoghovurd" from law enforcement sources, the search conducted by the NSS and the internal security department is related to a drug case, and the investigation will determine the connection of the department's officials to the matter."
