7 Out of 70 Isolated Individuals Test Positive for Coronavirus: Torosyan
Yesterday, testing for coronavirus was conducted on nearly 70 isolated individuals, and the results were positive for 7 of them, indicating the presence of the COVID-19 virus. This information was shared by Health Minister Arsen Torosyan during a session of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Health and Social Affairs.
According to him, these positive cases further highlight the importance of isolating individuals arriving in Armenia. If these 7 people had not been isolated, they could have spread the virus to others over the past 14 days. Moreover, had they been tested upon arriving in Armenia, the results would likely have been negative, allowing them to move freely and potentially infect more people.
It is worth noting that as of 11:00 AM on April 10, there have been 16 new cases of coronavirus infection reported in Armenia, bringing the total number of cases to 937. A negative result has been recorded in 5160 tests (258 of which were conducted in the last day). Currently, 777 individuals are undergoing treatment (with an increase of 4 in the last day).
