One of the criminal cases has been initiated under the characteristics of Part 2 of Article 214 and Part 2 of Article 308 of the Criminal Code of Armenia. This case involves the responsible officials of the Civil Aviation Administration using their official positions against the interests of service, allocating funds for aircraft rental, and the employees of the “Aviation Training Center” LLC using their regulatory or other powers to organize procurement processes with violations contrary to the interests of that organization, establishing unjustified rental prices, and incurring unjustified expenses for aircraft rental, causing significant damage to the state.
The second criminal case has been initiated under Article 314 of the Criminal Code of Armenia for the involvement of respective officials of the Committee in inserting obviously false information or records in official documents related to inspection checks during the years 2016-2019, as well as the production of fake documents.
Active investigative, other procedural, and operational-search measures aimed at fully clarifying the circumstances of these cases are being conducted. Measures are also being undertaken to verify the potential involvement of Armenian air carriers in illegal processes in other countries.
