COVID-19 Deaths Reach 812 in Turkey
As of April 8, Turkey has reported an additional 87 deaths due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). This information was shared by the Turkish Minister of Health, Fahrettin Koca, on his official Twitter account.
In his post, the minister stated that out of approximately 24,900 tests conducted within a 24-hour period, there have been 4,117 new confirmed cases of infection. During the same timeframe, there were 87 recorded fatalities, while 264 individuals recovered from the virus, as reported by Ermenihaber.
In total, 1,846 patients have recovered from the pandemic in Turkey. Currently, 1,492 patients are in intensive care.
According to the latest data, Turkey has reported 38,226 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 812 deaths. A total of 247,768 tests have been conducted.
Koca also stated that overcoming the pandemic in Turkey is largely dependent on isolation measures and has urged citizens to stay at home.
