Car Crashes into Barrier on Yerevan-Yeraskh Road: One Injured
On April 6, at 3:29 PM, the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations received information about a traffic accident near the village of Burastan in the Ararat region, with one person injured.
A firefighting and rescue team from the regional rescue administration was dispatched to the scene. It was discovered that a "BYD" brand vehicle (driver: Vahe S., born in 1988) had veered off the roadway and collided with the metal barrier at the 23rd kilometer of the Yerevan-Yeraskh highway.
Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, the driver and passenger Sofik S. were extricated from the vehicle with the help of local residents. The passenger was hospitalized at "Erebouni" Medical Center.
The rescue team closed the gas valve of the vehicle and remained on site to monitor the situation until traffic police officials arrived.
