Joghvood: Syunik is in a frenzy. How they are preparing for Nikol Pashinyan's visit
Joghvood newspaper reports: "Today, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will start the regional campaign for constitutional amendments in Syunik Province. And according to our information, the Prime Minister will land in the city of Agarak in Syunik Province by helicopter this morning, from where the campaign is expected to begin.
According to the Joghvood newspaper, there is a frenzy in all communities of Syunik Province these days, as everyone wants to properly welcome Nikol Pashinyan. Yesterday, this was also confirmed in a conversation with Joghvood by Meghri's mayor, Mkhitar Zakaryan, who stated that they are preparing to welcome the Prime Minister. "Of course we are preparing, the Prime Minister of the Republic is coming. We, on our part, the communal service - on its part, cleanliness, and so on. We have always engaged in cleanliness, but tomorrow there has to be a bit of a difference, after all, many guests are coming from the capital, let them come and see our community cleaner," he noted in our conversation.
It should be noted that the active campaign for the 'Yes' option regarding the constitutional amendments has essentially started only from March 7, while preparatory work was ongoing before that. During these days, lawmakers, along with the Prime Minister, are going door to door, personally distributing brochures and interacting with residents. Moreover, the Prime Minister will also conduct the campaign through rallies.
It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is taking a vacation starting today. Joghvood has also learned that Nikol Pashinyan will be accompanied today by Suren Papikyan, the head of the 'Yes' headquarters, and MPs elected from Syunik Province by ranking.
