The Number of Printed VAT Receipts in 2019 Increased by 40% - Official
In 2019, a significant increase was recorded in the number of workers in the Armenian market. As of December 2019, there were 629,000 taxable jobs, which is 88,000 more than in April. This was stated by Karen Tamazyan, head of the Tax Administration Organization, Monitoring, and Supervision Department of the State Revenue Committee (SRC), during a meeting with reporters.
According to the SRC official, the increase has been noted in retail trade, public catering, wholesale trade, food production, and services. "In 2018, 326 million VAT receipts were printed, while in 2019, this figure reached 457 million. Accordingly, there has been a 20% increase in turnover. In the case of invoice documents, the increase was 25%, from 20 million to 25 million receipts," he said.
