One Passenger Hospitalized After Milan-Yerevan Flight
All 69 passengers on the Milan-Yerevan flight, which made an emergency landing today around noon, have been checked, Dr. Haik Karapetyan, an epidemiologist at the "Zvartnots" border sanitary and epidemiological control point, informed "Azatutyun." One passenger arriving from Milan has been hospitalized due to having respiratory infection symptoms a few days prior.
“One of the passengers reported certain health issues the day before, which is why we decided to hospitalize him to conduct additional examinations in a laboratory setting,” Dr. Karapetyan said. A decision on testing will be made at the Nork Infectious Diseases Hospital. Minister Arsen Torosyan urged that the hospitalized passenger should not feel isolated. “He is not the only citizen currently at our infectious disease hospital; numerous citizens are waiting for their test results,” he added.
According to the minister, testing is an ongoing process, with 135 citizens already tested, and except for one case, the others have been ruled out for coronavirus infection. Passengers arriving from Milan predominantly wore masks as they entered the arrivals hall of “Zvartnots.” The passengers reported that there is no panic in Italy.
