Details of the Memorandum Signed Between Armenia and Georgia
Accompanied by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Armenia's Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan met with Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani in Tbilisi on March 3.
The foreign ministers emphasized the current level of Armenian-Georgian dialogue based on mutual respect and centuries-old friendship between the two nations. They indicated the steps to enrich and strengthen the bilateral agenda, based on the understanding of the strategic interconnectedness between the two countries. The cooperation established between the parties on multilateral platforms, including the Council of Europe and the Eastern Partnership initiative, was highly appreciated.
Mnatsakanyan and Zalkaliani emphasized the facilitation of communications between people and the strengthening of connections between societies, regarding which a memorandum of intent was signed by the two ministers.
The foreign ministers addressed urgent regional and international issues and discussed joint efforts to prevent the spread of the new type of coronavirus.
In this context, Foreign Minister Mnatsakanyan presented Armenia's assessments and positions regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process.
