German Minister Refuses to Shake Merkel's Hand Due to Coronavirus
Germany's Interior Minister Horst Seehofer declined to shake hands with Chancellor Angela Merkel on March 2 due to the prevailing circumstances surrounding the coronavirus. This was reported by Bild.
During a meeting with representatives of migrant organizations in Berlin, Merkel approached Seehofer and extended her hand as a greeting, but the minister did not respond. Merkel took the situation in good humor, raising her arms and showing Seehofer the palms of her hands. As a result, both shared a laugh.
